I believe in the one God who makes Himself known in nature, in our life experiences, but most of all in the pages of the Bible.
I believe, like He claims in Scripture, that Jesus is His Son, that Jesus is the Savior promised to the ancient Jews, and that Jesus was crucified and buried but resurrected from the dead!
I believe that Jesus died willingly as a sacrifice that repairs our broken relationship with God and as an example for how we should live.
I believe that we must live in ways that honor God’s mission as exemplified in the life and lifestyle of Jesus Christ.
When we sacrifice ourselves, we may lose those things that sparkle and shine (and rust and decay), but we gain the things that cannot ever be taken away–God’s love and protection and power. It’s a trade worth making! It’s a choice that doesn’t always make things easier, but it does always make things better.
Oh, there’s so much that could be said about these things. But this is a blog–not a dissertation. 😉
If you have questions about any of these things, I hope you leave a comment, and I’ll do my best to respond.
